How We Turn Raw into Valuable

From Quartz Ore to Ultrafine Powder

Every batch passes through a controlled, multi-stage process to ensure consistent purity, particle size and performance.

01

Quartz Sourcing

High-purity quartz ore (SiO₂ ≥99%) is carefully selected from verified mineral deposits. Ore is inspected for impurities, graded by silica content, and transported to the processing facility for initial preparation.

02

Cleaning & Pre-Crushing

Selected quartz rocks undergo thorough washing to remove surface contaminants and clay. Pre-crushing reduces large ore chunks into smaller fragments, preparing them for subsequent milling to achieve the 200–400 mesh silica powder specification.

03

Grinding & Milling

Raw silica is fed into ball mills or Raymond mills and ground to achieve target particle sizes of 200–400 mesh (37–75 microns). Controlled milling speed and duration ensure uniform particle reduction and consistent output.

04

Classification & Sizing

Processed silica passes through air classifiers or vibrating screens to separate particles by mesh size. Material outside the 200–400 mesh range is recycled or reprocessed, ensuring precise and uniform granulometry.

05

Quality Control

Finished silica powder undergoes lab testing for particle size distribution, SiO₂ purity, moisture content and whiteness. Only batches meeting strict specifications are approved for packaging and delivery.

Continuous Innovation, Rigorous Testing

GMPL has developed world-class lab facilities at all its locations in order to continuously innovate and keep high quality checks for regular produce — during manufacturing and before dispatch of material to customer organizations.

Diffuse Reflectance Meter machine for particle size, Brightness Tester and Draw Down are some of the sophisticated instruments and methods used for quality control.

Strict Standards, Every Batch

Maintaining strict quality standards in silica powder production (200–400 mesh) requires rigorous control over purity, contamination and particle size to meet industry specifications.

01

Purity Requirements & Standards

SiO₂ content is verified against strict purity benchmarks to ensure every batch meets industry and customer specifications.

02

Contamination Prevention

Controlled handling and processing environments minimize contamination risk throughout extraction, milling and packaging.

03

Particle Size Distribution Control

Air classifiers and vibrating screens ensure precise, uniform granulometry within the specified mesh range.
